Yanni Hufnagel – The Basketball Coach

He is coaching the basketball team together with Eric Musselman. As a kid, Yanni used to read a lot of books about coaching and at the same time using basketball figurines in assimilating the plays that are described in the sports books. While working as a broadcaster in his home town’s public television stations, most of Yanni’s broadcast partners believed that one day Yanni Hufnagel would be a great coach or a sports announcer.

During his first year at the Cornell University, Yanni Hufnagel worked as a basketball manager. He, later on, got the opportunity of completing his summer internship with the New Jersey Nets. Through the internship period, Yanni Hufnagel was lucky to get in touch with Coach Jeff Capel who was looking for an assistant coach.

In 2009, Mr. Capel recommended Yanni to the head coach of the Harvard basketball team. He was accepted as a volunteer coach. Yanni used the opportunity to recruit many basketball players as he could. Since then, Yanni has gained good reputations when it comes to the world of basketball.

Concerning professional life, Mr. Yanni Hufnagel is a basketball coach and recruiter. Currently, he is working under Coach Eric Musselman as assistant coach of Nevada Wolf Pack. He also worked as an assistant basketball coach for Harvard Crimson, Vanderbilt Commodores, and California Golden Bears. For that reason, Hufnagel has been considered as one of the best recruiters in Basketball Colleges.

Regarding educational life, Yanni Hufnagel attended PSU (Pennsylvania State University) for one year and then joined Cornel University, from where he completed his studies in Labor and Industrial Relations. He also attended Oklahoma University, from where he worked as a graduate assistant basketball coach to the men’s team.
