Malini Saba, The founder of Saban, is one of the world’s top investors and philanthropists. Saba is a passionate philanthropist that works hard in protecting her company, the people she stands for and ways to change the world. Throughout her career she has donated millions of dollars to the Heart Research Center for South Asians in El Camino Hospital and to the victims of the Tsunami victims in India and Sri Lanka. In an interview with Ideamensch, Malini Saba explains her ideas, actions and goals she made to get to where she is today, and where she sees the future of her philanthropy going.

Malini Saba is the Chairman of Saban, a company that retains “varied investments interest worldwide” in the technology, Oil and Gas industries. As Malini explains in her interview, she believes in all of her offices in “start up mode”. She feels that this culture enables herself and her staff to have a well-rounded understanding of everything that goes on on a day to day basis. Saba explains that she notices it’s not what most chairmen of companies do, but believes it’s the reason she is so successful.

In 2001, she started “Stree: Global Investments in Women“, which is a non-profit organization that works to change the roles low income and at-risk women and children have in society. This is just one example of how her start-up strategy has deemed successful because it now provides “means for women to access healthcare, legal empowerment and provide a forum for grassroots movements to connect with public policy in Africa, Central America, India and Eastern Europe.

Although Malini is one of the world’s top investors, and has meetings with people all over the world daily, she does not believe in nanny’s. Her meetings are worked around her child’s school pick up and drop off times so she is able to spend time being a mom as well. Malini saba has influenced the world in a positive way and she has done so eloquently and aggressively. Her down to earth attitude allows her to be easily relate-able and interesting to work for. Saba’s work continues to changes millions of people’s lives.
