What the Internet of Things actually is, however, is a phrase that describes the way the internet is networking our entire world, automating services that we might not have ever expected. Looking past his day-to-day rigors, Hope has put the bulk of his energy toward spreading the word about the Internet of Things. The Internet of Things is a huge, rising technology that is making an impact in several key factors. We can look to the airline industry and Virgin Atlantic in particular. Virgin Atlantic builds their 787 Boeing Jets with IoT technology in mind, focusing on crafting each piece of the plane to communicate with a database of safety features. The Internet of Things is also going to be used to make a trip to the airport easier, helping to guide passengers to their gates while keeping them appraised of all flight related information. This is just the beginning, Hope believes, and there is more to come in the future, and Jason Hope’s lacrosse camp.
