After Three Decades in the Investment Industry, Peter Briger Continues to Forge Forward

Over the course of three decades, Peter Briger has gained a solid reputation for accomplishment within the global financing and investment industries. Currently serving as a Principal at the leading private equity firm Fortress Investment Group, LLC. and ranked on the Forbes Top 400 business professionals in the United States, Briger is the holder of a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University, as well as an Master of Business Administration from Wharton School of Business.

The San Francisco-based Briger has served on the Board of Directors for the Princeton University Investment Company, and for fifteen years held the position of partner with Goldman, Sachs and Co., exercising membership in committees such as the Global Control & Compliance Committee and the Asian Management Committee during his tenure. Peter Briger also served as co-head of the firm’s Asian Distressed Debt sector and Asian Real Estate Private Equity sector, among others.

Briger’s successful financial career has been complimented by his dedication to charity and philanthropy; a dedication that is reflected in his contributions in cash and kind to non-profit initiatives and organizations. He serves on the board of Tipping Point, a charity dedicated to underprivileged families in San Francisco. He occupies a leadership position on the Silicon Valley Leadership Council, which monetarily aids children across the globe living in poverty through its Global Fund for Children.
